ACRES Advisor Training is Underway
The first courses for advisor training in habitat assessment were held earlier this week. Our first course was held yesterday in Co. Leitrim. The training focused on the use of the scorecards for assessing Grassland, Peatland and Scrub Woodland fields this summer. Additional one to one training will be provided to advisors who have clients with land that has breeding wader, chough or other specialist cards assigned. Advisors have a challenging summer ahead of them but we will do out best to support them in any way we can. A further 10 courses will be delivered by our staff across the country over the next two weeks.
We really appreciate advisors giving up their time during the last week of the BISS application period and the farmers who made their land available for this important task.
