Specialist Training for Advisors
We are hosting advisors for specialist training on two of the less frequently used scorecards today. Our staff will brief advisors on the use of the Chough and Coastal scorecards on farms in Sligo. The Chough course is being run in the Gleniff Horseshoe with the coastal part of the day in nearby Cliffoney. While the footprint of the fields where these scorecards apply is small compared to the grassland or peatland cards they are very important where they do occur. Like all the other scorecards they provide a signpost for how the management of the site can be adjusted to deliver extra ecosystem services, a better score and a higher payment.
