NPI Installation of Heritage Gates

Gates help improve farm accessibility and security. 

Allows greater control of where animals are grazing.

Adds an interesting feature to farm boundaries.

1. Heritage gates are wrought iron or steel gates made to a local pattern. Contact
   the local CP team for details of potential suppliers.
2. This NPI may not be available in every CP area.
3. The Gate must be properly hung.

Gates cannot be installed on new entrances from public roads without the permission of the Local Authority and/ or the National Roads Authority. Burren Aran CP Area only at present.

Good Locations:

• Existing Gaps in Field boundaries
• Where an old gate needs to be replaced.

Poor Locations:

• Where there is no existing access from a public road.
